Life isn’t a rehearsal……. it’s the real thing: A play about teen relationships

Happy new Year!

Dear friends, colleagues and community members,

We would like to invite you to a very important event coming up for Oasis Alternative School for Arts and Social Change!

This semester's drama production class has been working on a new play about teen relationships and a staged reading by Oasis students in collaboration with guest Toronto actors is going to happen at Theatre Passe Muraille on Thursday January 13th at 2:00pm. The play is comprised of student writing and discussion around the topic of relationships and includes statements, poems, songs and scenes. Guest Toronto Actors will be joining the students for the play reading as well as sharing some of their own work related to the topic. It's going to be a thought provoking and community building afternoon. Please join us!

Please pass this information on to anyone you know who might be interested in attending. Admission is free. Our priority is to get a supportive audience for the youth who will be presenting. If you know of a University class, student group, community or arts group who might be interested in attending, please do let us know.

If you have any questions or comments, contact Jocelyn at 416-393-9830 or jocelyn.wickett@tdsb.on.ca. Thank you so much, and hope to see you there! Sincerely, Jocelyn
