Oasis Students Get A Taste of History

As a finale to our history unit on the Great Depression, students cooked a historical lunch on a budget.... rabbit stew! What could be cheaper than a creature from your backyard? Don't worry, there was also a contemporary budget vegetarian option of cheap pasta and sauce.

Are you interested in the Arts? Social Justice? Need core credits? Want a co-operative job experience?

The Arts and Social Change Program offers students aged 16-18 years a second chance and fresh approach to earn grade 9, 10 and 11 credits. The staff provides an integrated arts approach to learning with an emphasis on equity and social justice. Through the support of teachers, local artists, and on-going community partnerships, students have the opportunity to profile their social justice arts based work outside of the school and in the Toronto arts community.

Course Offerings are based on the following themes for the 2013-2014 school year

Urban Arts
Social Change
Health in Motion
Ethical Science
